  1. Thank you for this excellent site. I know folks who still use a Samsung S4. Despite there being no more security patches made for that model, the person still uses it and hasn’t noticed any problems. From a practical perspective, how does a person know if they are being victimized?

    1. Notice a problem?

      You won’t get a screaming message saying you’ve been hacked..

      Perhaps you are helping to send spam or do attack others.
      Or all your calls and messages are being watched.
      Or you credit card gets hacked..

      Waiting to look to see if you are hacked is not wise. Buy a used modern Samsung on eBay for under $300. Frankly it runs a lot faster.
